I have a 175D with an old dealer sticker and was wondering if anyone could identify where they were located. The decal reads "The Detjen Grain Co. at Moulton, Since 1902". There is not a phone number or state. Not a big deal but I was curious. Thanks for any help. Dennis

A google search of "detjen grain co. moulton" yields that Wikipedia, of all places, mentions a little bit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moulton,_Ohio

They were located in Moulton Ohio and if you google search The Detjen Grain Co and Wikipedia has a line about the place..."The Detjen Grain Company merged with Botkins-based Provico in 1980 (now
Wapakoneta-based Auglaize-Provico) and was subsequently demolished in
the 1990s after a later merger."

Detjen Grain was just north oj me about ten mile, sold John Deere and Allis. Denny Hager moved the Allis dealership to Wapakeneta after it sold was there untill Allis sold. Talk to Mr. Hager yearly at Wapak swap meet, has some old and nos parts there. Fred

I'm Denny Hager, i never had to much to do with the Allis stores, although i collect the older Allis', my father Don Hager had the Allis store in Wapak until Allis sold. He bought Al Post out in Gomer, Ohio, who had bought my uncle out in Hume, Ohio in 1956. i don't believe any body bought Detjen Implements, other than possibly Provico, who is now Advanced Agri Solutions, bought the elevators which had the implement stores at each location. I believe the implement stores were gone by that time, as i recall. |
