I don't mean to be blunt but if the decisions been made what's the point?

What about parts support for our Allis tractors? If this all goes through, are they still gonna make parts to support our Allis'?? maybe its been said, but I might've missed it. Thanks, -Wes

This is encouraging news. It might not amount to anything, but I have to keep reminding myself of the Case-IH debacle with Tenneco. Tenneco was just going to drop the IH part of the name. Well, needless to say, that didn't go over very well at all. The IH loyalists let them know what they thought of that. I think that in our situation, just like theirs, there is far too much loyalty that will be lost. Face it, if you are still loyal to the orange AGCO line, you have already been through plenty of chaos and screw-ups, and you can't take much more.

Around here Massey has very little respect left. I know all that stuff about being the same other than paint, but Massey hasn't had a dealer in my area for 25 or 30 years. There aren't any newer Massey tractors around here, and nobody is willing to take a chance on an unknown. There is too much at stake to buy a tractor that has no dealer support. Any presence AGCO has will just be lost. Sure there is the Challenger line, and I have to admit that we have a track tractor and like it just fine, but going into the dealership just isn't a comfortable situation. It is nothing like the atmosphere of an actual AG dealership-not a construction dealer that has ag as a sideline. I tend to think of my business and needs as more than just a sideline or an afterthought. As an ag customer I feel like they (Cat dealer) will work with me when they have all of their important customers taken care of. If you want to sell your product, you have to have somebody out there to actually SELL it and service it.

If AGCO wants to save the family farm this is a darn good place to start by saving the orange AGCO line and retaining the loyal customers they have left. (referencing the "long live the family farm" site on flick'r) If they get rid of the last link to the Allis Chalmers heritage, those customers will be gone. I think the dwindling numbers of White fans is a good indicator of what happens. For the record, I was very disappointed when they ditched the White tractors. I didn't make a fuss, I should have. I feel that if I don't make a fuss now I will regret it. The rest of you might, too.

Byron, I hope that didn't sound like I was getting all over your case, as that was not my intention. I was trying to get everyone else motivated. You know who I mean, the lurkers. Come on out here folks. We know you are there. Make some noise with us.

No problem. I think the whole things got me on edge and it shouldn't. I think the big thing is that even if they say ok we'll make orange tractors it's finally hit me that they really aren't the Allis Gleaner company anymore. With their current leadership I can't imagine them repairing that at this point.

Plus. I missed a nice doe on Saturday cause I started reading a John Deere brochure to pass the time. I never would have done that before now. So on top of everything else, missing a doe is AGCO's fault too! LOL

	I have been following the many posts that have been put on "The Forum" in connection with Agco's decision to drop the Orange line. So I like many of you emailed Agco, with my thoughts, and received the same email back that you guys did. But to my surprise tonight I got a phone call from the district rep. We had a very nice talk and said he was to report back to his boss. The decision has been made, but they are listening to our comments so dont hesitate to voice you opinion .

	Never hurts to try. If the negative reaction is strong enough things could change. Remember new Coke!? If you speak to them, I would ask why the Valtra is offered in multiple colors but you wont' be able to get an orange Agco.

	The fact that one of us got a direct call could mean they are listening to their customers. Also, decisions can be changed.

	I think it's a rather fatalistic view to say "why bother?" If no one showed any interest in the matter, they would get the impression that we really don't care. It doesn't hurt to try - so why not? 	I feel like I've been making a fuss for years on here and with AGCO. Whenever I fill out my customer survey forms I say I bought it cause it was orange. I've emailed them before and they told me that dropping the orange was just a rumor. So, either their lying or have extremely bad management or both. I'm guessing both. I'll email back the guy, (Todd Stucke), who I feel like lied to me but I've emailed him a couple of times already on orange tractors and he's ignored me.

	Byron, I wasn't trying to dispute you, either. I understand and respect your opinion. I was just trying to point out that public opinion does matter. I have seen it in the past where something was a done deal, then a petition, letters to the editor, and other public outcries have changed the outcome. The important thing is not to give up.
