Topic: A/C HAYRACK RIDEPosted: 22 Oct 2011 at 11:17pm |

My older brother had his yearly birthday party/bonfire/hayrack ride.He usually uses a tractor from the farm he works at.This year he asked if I could pull the wagon with my D-17 SIV.Well yeah!!! Everything went well,no injuries and the lights worked the whole time,,,, I was a little worried as I have never ran them for that long.My sister brought my niece and got a few photos of her on the tractor. She is 18 months old and I plan on brainwashing,,,I mean introducing her to the joys of ORANGE power.
1st pic is my brother with our niece Sharon

PATRIC, PATRIC, PATRIC, Angela thought the first pic was you !!! "He looks like he put on some weight since the Fair", I corrected her promptly !!! I could not figure out what a hayrack was until I saw your pics, down here in God's country, we bust up the bales and have a real hayride. You guys can get hurt doing it your way !!!

My brother had to give the bales back to the farmer he works for.Says they are already sold to some horse people for premium price.
The step was on tractor when I bought it.Very good home made unit.I love it,very easy to climb on and off. Paint is factory on D-17,previous owner "touched up" a few spots.I will keep it original as the are only factory once and I have no painting skills.LOL Brother called me today and gave me a scare. One of the small kids today crawled on tractor and shifted it out of gear.Tractor rolled down hill and front end went over short retaining wall.Front end dropped about a foot.I was bowhunting over by Pittsfield today and my brother was supossed to bring tractor back after church this morning.he decided to take hay rack back and when he got back he found tractor had rolled down hill.Luckily it only knocked a few landscape blocks over and they were easily fixed.I checked tractor over with a fine tooth comb when I got home and it all appears to be OK.I was glad to hear no one got hurt.Did not even think about it when I left it there last night. |
