I need a Barnes ps pump like this. It lists this pump as used on a diesel. It is on a D17 Series II gas. The pump drives off the back of the generator. I am on my way to Calgary area, if anyone out that way has one. I have lots of 6080, and some D17 parts to trade.

Brian,What is wrong with your pump? I had mine for a D-19 rebuilt at  a local machine shop with seals and shaft work for WAY less money than even a used one that needed similar work.

That pump looks the same as what's on my D17D. If you have a pump on the back of a generator on your gas D17, my guess is someone has put together a conglomeration to fix the P/S in the past. All of the P/S pumps I've seen on gas D17's engines is either sandwitched between the governor and distributor or belt driven like a WD45.

I think that this is a D17D setup, I was hoping I could locate a pump. I bought a complete Series 4 ps setup, but dont have the time to change it, and want to get the loader back on. I hope I can locate a pump on this trip out to Alberta.

The spline is ok, the pump housing and the rotors have some pretty deep chunks out of them.

Someone told me that the generator/pump setup is the same as a 56 Chev car.
Maybe something is available from Year One or NPD etc.
Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed
