There is one coming up on auction, the paint is good, wide front end, tires are OK, has a AC trip loader and 5715 hours.
Whats your oppions on them?
What is there to look for do they have comon problems?
Also will they pull a 3-14 plow ok?

Can you drive it before the sale? You want to know if it jumps out of gear, usually 2nd or 3rd. They're rated for 3 14's.

Appears to be a 1960.
It has power steering that is a plus! If it works.
Not sure what the deal is with the power director handle. Funny looking add-on?
Got decent looking rubber, but look over the rear rims close for corrosion, especially around the valve stem hole. If they are 26" they can get pricey for new.
Looks nice in the picks and if everything works as it should, I would guess around $2000.
I love my D14.

John the handle you are seeing is the trip handle for the bucket on the loader "I think".
And $2000 is alot of money to spend for me.
Also how would you compare it to a wd45?

Power director lever looks to be ok, I think you are looking at the trip lever for the bucket.
there was one here locally that sold for $2600 with out power steering.
If that one is as nice as it looks I would say it would be worth close to $3000

That is a nice D14! The main issue as mentioned is the gear popping out. Otherwise they were good tractors comparing to a WD. Not enough power to compare to -45.

Yep, missed that, in the pic it looked to me like they were connected!
If you look close at the closeup pic of the front right, it looks like it could have a second, not so good, coat of paint. Dupont overhaul?
Doesn't have the hp of the 45 but with the low/high range it can get down and dig!
It really depends on the folks that attend, but I would think it would go for a minimum of 2000.
It doesn't have a 3 point which could dissuade potential buyers.
Where an when is this auction? :)

That's the only farm equipment listed. I have found you get less farm equipment buyers when there is very little equipment. Just seems that way to me, I may be wrong!

I thought they had about the same power of a wd45, don't really want to get anything less that about 45hp.

Series 2 D15 gas had the same HP as a WD45. D14 is only about 35 PTO HP if I remeber correctly

D-14 are great little tractors. Grandpa bought on new, and now has probably 20,000 hours on it. We pull 3-14 easy with ours. In my opinion I would say a D-14 is handier than a WD-45 because they are easy to get on and off and have the power-director.
