I'm getting ready to rebuild the engine in my 1954 WD-45 and I'm not sure if I actually have a WD-45 block or a WD block. Does anybody know the difference in casting numbers to tell the difference in block type? Apparently there is a difference because in the parts catalog they have to different part numbers for the rebuild kits. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

WD block will have a plate bolted on covering the side below the plugs, WD45 is a cast block

I guess it depends on the parts book yo look at. We just sell the kit with the gasket for that cover for both the WD's and the 45's. |
