Found an HD 16 about 20 miles from home.  It hasn't been running for several (maybe 10) years.  The current owner may be willing to sell it.  Was wondering if anyone has any tips on trying to get it running and if there is any operating manual/literature about it.  Here are a couple of pictures.

Dave, that's a really really nice spiecmen for an HD16. Can you get the serial number of the back and post it up for us. It appears to be a HD16DP late model, just before the B series. It has segmented sprockets which indicates it's a later model  (or they've been updated). There's info out there to help you (operators manuals on ebay). We might have some in our library. I'd start with 2 fresh batteries, check all the fluids, and fire away.  Ohh and don't forget to take the can off the stack first, Mel

Dad has an HD11E and I'm amazed how easy it starts even when it's fairly cold out. We love it. I hope you can scoop it up and make something of it.
