I am rebuilding a stanadyne Roosa Master injection pump for my 185. I was wondering if anyone has any resources for diagrams or manuals for these pumps. Also does anyone know of where to get parts for these? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you don't already have the equipment like a calibration test stand, you should give it to somebody that has that stuff. They would have that documentation already. This is not a project for the untrained. You might end up blowing up your engine. |

What is wrong with pump? What kind of parts do you need? I keep seal kits and a few other parts for them. MACK

The pump worked fine. It came off my 185 engine which is getting overhauled. I pulled off the top cover of the pump and found some crud and dirt in the pump. As i take it more apart, there is a lot of crud coming out. So i figure while the pump is off the tractor and it is pretty dirty i would like to go through the whole thing. I have some experience with the newer Stanadyne pumps from the chevy 6.5 diesel engine but those are a bit different as they were electronically controlled.

A DB pump is alot different than a DS. I can supply you parts, but I prefer to do the rebuild for you. They are a simple pump to rebuild, but if you're overhauling the engine, it's worth having the pump professionally rebuilt, as well as the injectors. I am a Stanadyne Authorized pump technician, as well as being ADS certified. DB pumps run around 500-600 in our shop. ed64drag@lycos.com thanks, Ed.

Thanks, can you also turn the pump up if you rebuilt it? The tractor might be doing some pulling and getting a turbo so it will need more fuel. Also how much would it cost to have the injectors rebuilt? I was planning on doing it but id have to take them some where to have them flow tested. Thank you again for your help and advice!

pm me or email me at ed64drag@lycos.com I can set it pretty much however you want, but you need to have an idea how much you want to step it up. Can go from mild to wild! Injectors will vary depending upon what you want to do. If you want stock, thats fine, mild I'd put stock 7080 tips in it, or wild, I'd have your tips EDM'd if they are good, or send off new ones for EDM work. Thanks, Ed.
