I'm looking for a good 230 diesel engine block for my dad's WD-45 diesel. Our block is not in good shape and will require an immense amount of machine work to be usable. Looking to see if I can find something in a little better shape. I would prefer a 230 diesel block only as I want to stay as original as possible and don't want to do any modifications to the tractor to get something else to fit. Is there anything out there? Do as you wish, but if I had a WD45D needing work, I'd find a BUDA diesel from a Cockshutt 50. They didn't use sleeves as the Allis design BUDAs do and won't have the problems that the Allis engines have. Very few could tell the difference.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
