The tachometer part works but the hour part acts like its stuck, or a broken tooth. The far right black and white is trying to click. Is there a place that restores these?

Star speedometer is great. He rebuilt two for me and made new tach cabels. around $300 each i think, but it's good work that will last a long time.

I called him, he and others stop when they figure out the tachometer is electric, no parts they say, he has referred me to a guy in Tampa that might have parts. I'll bet if I could get mine apart the little gears are bound up by lack of or to much lubrication.

The lady on the phone was super helpful. She has offered help with setting the DP switches and if our hole size isn't 3 3/8, i dont know yet, she says that can be addressed. It looks like its made for it. It reads off the wire we already have, or can be setup with a adapter. And made in USA!

The isspro mentioned is 3-3/8" and fits perfect in the dash of a 7000 series tractor. I have one on my 7040 running off the alt, but they also offer the R8906 sensor kit that allows you to run it off the front pulley so you don't have to run a 3 wire alt. Mine has to be revved up to over 1500 for the alt to start charging and make tach work. I just experimented with the dip switches until I got the speed to match my photo tach.

Be nice to know how many pulses per revolution a 7060 alternator has. I did a AI and it said 6.
