Guys I am mystified with what just happened. The transmission would not shift then the carb started to flood at the same time.
With all that I have done to this old girl it was a major disappointment.I even went looking for a replacement tractor and was considering a 1755 or an 1855 Cockshutt to teplace it.Almost no Allis here these days except fixer uppers.
Anyhow I ordered a carb kit and got it after a 10 day wait.Yesterday I put the kit in and
started the tractor. Carb success so I was happy.....then for spits and giggles before looking at the trans I just shifted the tractor into gear and it worked !!
So for now I have a baling tractor .Fingers crossed.

Bill, If you've been getting the rains that we have been getting, you won't be doing much baling for a while!!  12 to 14 inches in the last week or so!
