Can't find any marking on the new to me plow bottoms as to what number they are. I'm hoping they are 387's as parts are available. Landsides are really bad, rest of it shouldn't be hard to get ready to plow this fall. Is there an easy way to identify a 387?

The only one ive ever seen were 387. Seems like i read thats the only way they came. H had a 5 bottom 2000 and have a 7 bottom 3000 now. They are both 387. Id have to get a 387 share and see if it fit my plow. I dont know of any other way to tell. Niw that i think of it theres a site that helps identify AC plows. It may be in the knowledge section

AGCO has the parts book for the 2000/3000 online with several different bottoms shown. Take a look through that and I think it should be fairly obvious if it is a 386/387 or one of the different bottoms. I think the 386/387 only differ from each other by the moldboards and the shins (I presume the shape/curvature is slightly different?) so I'm not sure how to tell those two apart other than cleaning things up enough to find the PNs stamped on your parts.
I'm sure some guys on here could tell if you posted some pictures, too.

Not much help but I have a 5 bottom and a 3, both are 387. Think that was the most common but might very by area and soil type.

The 387 is a short stubby moldboard similar to a JD NU bottom. If you can't find any numbers on the backside of the wearing parts, try a 387 share and shin and see they match up.
It can be a safe guess that you have 387 bottoms, however any AC bottom will bolt to any AC plow. It is possible that whoever purchased the plow new wanted another series bottom to suit specific conditions.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

Shoup manufacturing has everything you need for the 2000 plow. You have the 387 bottom

Thanks everybody! I did a video of it yesterday, maybe visual confirmation? I have some Allis shares around here, will check and see if any of them fit. Going to try to get this one in fighting shape for this fall. The 546 Oliver is waiting on parts.
If I can get the parts book to work, I'll look at that too. |

You're going to want to get those shares hard surfaced, otherwise they won't last long.

Looked at the thread in the knowledge section on plow bottoms. Apparently the site is no longer viable. I think Kenny might have a book.....

Alright, further research has shown they are likely 387's. Bought some shares from Kenny awhile back. 2 of them are Adams, AM 164's. Bolt holes line up, but are not mounted yet. Will do that when hooked to a tractor! Anyway, internet search shows them as for the 387 bottom, available at Ag West (and probably other places) for $33.72 each. Might have this thing field ready by the end of July!

Good news! I think you can still buy pretty much everything for the 387s... How much longer that will be the case is a good question.

Found 4 new coulter blades at the Kalona show Friday. With the 1 IH I modified to work, I'm in tall cotton. Well, on this front anyway.
