Hi all, I have a wd that I got for parts last August. I could never find the serial number but got bored today sense school just got out and finally deep dived into it and found out its a really early one with the number on the left brake housing not below it. Its 2268. Casting date of July 28th so it was probably finished in August. But I dont know if I want to spend the time and money to get it running. *the engine is stuck although I have it soaking* i used it for parts for my mid run 45, qnd I could semi easily swap parts over and get it going if it doesn't need a engine rebuild. But should I do that? What would you do? I have a heart for these old things owning 3 running allis's and 2 not, but itd take alot of time and money and im now looking for my first car. Thanks.

Whenever my Wife questions my need for another tractor I always tell her that tractors are good for me because they keep me off the streets TongueWink

Wise advice from Les. Those are nice tractors but with an engine rebuild you will have more invested than it would sell for. But it is better than blowing your money on other things.
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.

If it is that early of a Tractor Restore it. To much of this old iron is scraped out. Spend the money & do it right . If it takes a a few yrs to do , save up & do it right or Sell it to someone who will do it.
