If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

From my understanding these tractors were made mostly from 2nd world war surplus medium duty truck parts...
Chrysler engines, transmission, transfer case, rear ends and other odds and ends.... They were sold thru many agricultural tractor supply type CO-OP's in the late 40's and early 50's.... And Badged accordingly. I understand they made several models all looked similar but i belive most of the changes were made due to availability of surplus war parts... Interesting to learn more about these little tractors. And they make great pullers...

They were also built here in Edmonton, Alberta and were marketed by the Rock Oil Company. They called theirs the "Rokol". There are a few around still, mostly restored or in museums.

the 218 and 230 flat head 6 cyl engines were very common in the (military) TRUCKS at that time..
---- According to information we have gathered, including a letter In an ad, run January 22, 1949, Lehr claims a big Chrysler Thirty-four HP was claimed, in the 1949 advertisement. This Edited by steve(ill) - 3 hours 45 minutes ago at 1:10pm |
