   What is this gadget? It doesn't really look stout enough to be a track pin press, is there something in the heavy duty trucking business that requires this?

If it is indeed suitable for use as a track press I would be very interested.

	The dark blue color is what Cat used on the special tooling they used and sold. So I would guess that part is really Cat made/sold. But the little hydraulic jack is no ware close to what would be needed. The Cat power pack was way over 6 inches could of been real close to 12 inches. The pump handle was 3 or maybe 4 foot. I was told the Cat pump would easily make a 100 ton, for pulling sprockets and pushing track pins. Each track size had there own set backing plate I think. So your only guessing what track this would work on. But at that price how can you loose.
