My AC 715B quit a few weeks back and was having starter problems . Ordered a new E-bay starter for the Perkins and works great - well except engine turns over well but didn't start . Changed out fuel filters and using primer on fuel pump got system primes or so I thought .
Ends up the fuel tank and lines were full of sludge from the bio-diesel and reaction to air or water or something else , as brown black sludge covered everything in tank .
Son drained fuel , washed out tank several times with non-bio diesel filled tank and thing started in couple tries with a shot of either .
He had 10 gallons of non-bio fuel on his work truck as that company buys non-bio fuel ONLY as any and all their mobile equipment has had problems with the fuel with soy-oil in it .
Life lesson: If you’re being chased by a lion, you’re on a horse, to the left of you is a giraffe and on the right is a unicorn, what do you do? You stop drinking and get off the carousel.
