Gas or diesel?? Gassers only have one battery, diesels come with one battery and optional diesels come with two batteries. Should be pictures in the owners manual if you have one.

I changed one of my 180's (diesel) from 2 batteries to one (size) 4DLT. I have never regretted going from two batteries to one.

Her is a link to a post on this Forum for 185 battery cables length, that has a pic of the battery connections for a 185.  The 185 should be close to your 180 design layout

Good luck with your project

I found what I needed for my battery connections and have her fired up again.  Thanks to all who replied.  Nice to know there is a place to come to when I get stumped.

I agree with WF owner on the 4D battery, I did that with my 190XT several years ago. Less connections, all are easy to get to. I get my brother to make battery cables for me, he uses his hose crimp tool, makes a very tight crimp.
