Anyone ever repainted a chainsaw? I have an old chainsaw, 1964 year built, that I am restoring. I have considered repainting it but was concerned about the paint not standing up to gasoline spilled on it while filling the tank. Any experience with this? What type paint was used?

I would check into having the parts you need painted being sent off to be powder coated, that would hold up to the elements a chainsaw is exposed to and there are a lot of colors to choose from

Had not thought of that. I have a neighbor that does powder coating. I will check with him.
