Tonight’s Springfield IL 6 pm news reports wind gust to 59 mph. Tornado/Hail watch until midnight. Meteorologist says we may see 1 1/2 times current wind speeds? 90mph?
Hope everyone stays safe & no one has any damage from this storm.

Bride reminded me today was the anniversary of the storm of '93. Very high winds, and 2 1/2 feet of snow.

Wind was vile here, storm seemed to pass to either side of our small abode. Rolla took a flogging as two tornado events set the weather people on their heels, those followed tornado alley I 44 toward Sullivan Steeleville and melted into the darkness. Our power stayed on but others close by were in the dark.

Will be checking damages here, had limbs on driveway before the actual storm got here, news will not be on for at least another two hours.

Severe lighting and very heavy rain. rotation went over farmhouse (Okolona MS). lucky it wasn't on ground but could hear it aloft. Dogs refused storm shelter and wife wasn't happy. It passed over my other farm also, will checkout at daylight.

Tyler and Joe,ya’ll hunker down and I’ll batten down the hatches. Sounds like we are going to have a rough night tonight. I hope that I don’t have to break out the chainsaw tomorrow.

Both generators ran a test on Wednesday so I guess we're as ready as we can be. Danielle asked "what are we going to do if a tornado hits the farm?" I said "I guess we'll take an insurance check to the bank and go from there". With my luck it would take 3 and leave 3 so we wouldn't have a choice but rebuild

Wind blew pretty good here last night, I was at work, power was out when I got home, yeah. Called it in, went to bed, was back on when I got up to pee. Some limbs on the ground, nothing big that I've seen so far anyway.

Storm of the century didn't amount to much . No down trees in the yard this morning and power never went out. Lots of wind and heavy rain between 10 and midnight

Joe and Tyler, how did was it up your way?  Praise the LORD we only got a little bit of wind and lightning here. I don’t know how bad it was at the farm but if there was much damage I would have gotten a call from one of my cousins.

Southern Wisconsin around midnight Friday Saturday Had straight-line winds. Damage to some roofs and trees. The odd thing was the wind was from the south. The trees are used to getting wind from the north and west. This basically hit the trees from the opposite side and did damage. Best wishes for those that had real storm damage.
