Does anyone know who manufactured the hydraulic compensator on the piston n pump for these tractors?

I thought the piston pump was a Cessna, so I assume they built their own compensator.

Thank you, just messing with a tractor with no pto pressure and thinking it could be the compensator. Agco is a grand for a new one and was thinking I could search a little bit and see if I could find one at a jobber maybe

Well, if the PTO doesn't have pressure, you must have other things not working right either, like poor brakes, diff lock pedal won't stay down, etc. WHAT MODEL ?? Many times the low pressure spool needs a couple of shims to fix them, not a whole compensator. What is your "stand-by pressure ???????

Doc is correct, Cessna supplied the piston pump. I had the low pressure spring break in my 8550, probably 30 plus years ago, the one offered by AGCO was the adjustable type, so updated to it. Good Luck !

I don't recall ever having to replace a compensator on a 7000-8000 series. Springs can break and shims can also break or just need to be added. The later style, screw adjustable, can break the screws and then the pressure backs off. Sometimes the piston pump itself, is the problem.

If you need a pump from one of these tractors rebuilt, I recommend this place. They can rebuild all 3.

Thanks Creston. I don't need anything from them now, but I sure hope that I can keep that place stored in my memory for future use. Darrel |

Before you dive in too deep, put a load to each of your hydraulic valves. I went through this on the 7045. I had one that lifted slow. The valve had a crack in it.
