...just saying hello to y'all as the new guy. My 10 year fell in love with this goofy lookin' tractor last year at a show and had to have one. I called it a low-rider hooptie of antique tractors. Of course, I'm talking about the G. So I started doing some research on this hooptie thing and found how rare and expensive they are. Well back in June, I found one laying in a field and made some inquiries. Turns out the old farmer has 3 of 'em. He probably got sick of me asking him to sell it, but he finally did for $600 bucks. It's a 1948 with the low-gear. It's completely in-tact, but needs a total restoration. I'm already looking for things like the rear draw-bar and front triangle weight, sooo if......

Hi there G Money; as a new G owner myself, (actually two of them now) congrats to you, they are neat little hard-working machines. It took me 50 years to get one and I am still looking for those odds and ends to make them complete. So far no regrets and I'm looking forward to getting them both to look alike. |
