Hello all.....looking at a U40 power unit...looking to operate a Frick 01 sawmill with it on a limited basis...was wondering if anyone had horsepower specs for this old hammer...I was told it ran a sawmill many years ago but when the current owner bought the mill he repowered it with something else and the old AC was put in the shed....thanks...Kevin

Don't know how big that AC unit is but.
We ran a four headblock, 20 foot carraige,60 inch blade Frick #1 with a 800 cubic inch Minniapolis Moline engine. Power was never a problem. That should give you a benchmark. Most Fricks around here were powered by Molines as Frick was also a Moline distributor.
