I picked this up for next to nothing. If not, I would have walked away. They just wanted it gone. She is a big girl.

Everything works. The 6 banger fires right up. Good oil pressure. Moves under its own power. Has very little strength in the hydraulics and is very slow. Now I know why they wanted it gone. They are supposed to be sending me the manuals, but I am not holding my breath.

Where should I look for a manual. Everything online seems to be downloads. Looking for paper. Yes, I am old.

KT:  If  you can wait a bit, you should be able to find a good OEM owners and parts manual on ebay - they pop up once in a while.  HTH's ~ Orangeman

Over the years I looked at 918 machines and seemed to find a reason to not bring one home . Now I wish i had as a separate unit for some certain jobs . 
 They are big and they are clumsy compaired to many machines but at same time being a 1 1/2 yard bucket and the big engine and overall size of machine they have a place .

Have always been interested in the AC 918, of the ones I have seen the owners seemed to like them for their power  and digging ability.    Looked like only a few design changes on the unit over its short production run - front wheels and rims being one.   Am assuming Allis went to  Cessna for the hydraulic controls?  ~ Orangeman
