ACWDWCMAN asked a great question as to the AC's we have, but how about the ones that got away through the years?
Dad wishes he could have back his 37 WC with foot brakes. He sold it years ago when he lived at New Hampton Ia. I had a 200 with factory cab and ac. Dad's last 7080 S.N.3923. He also had an 85' 4W305. It was traded to Marshalltown Ia on a Ford 946. I always thought I could make some really straight lines if I had the 4W305 on the planter.

Styled WC with step up transmission, That tractor could move! industrial D JD, and an R5 government gas cat with 6way blade. And one that got away, Rumely 6A. ... actually there were a lot of them that got away because I didn't bid on them.

I sold my All Crop 60 bagger combine to pay part of my college tuition. Also sold the first Hereford cow that I raised from a calf.
I guess the education paid off, but there are still times that I wonder why I did it.

I let a 20-35 get away, I knew it was worth the money but not knowing what the immediate future held in store I procrastinated too long. It wasn't a coin toss, I made the best decision with the available information at the time and if the circumstances were all the same, I'd probably make the same decision. I'm pretty sure I know where it is and it went to a gooood home, it'll roar again if it hasn't already. Can't miss what I never had.

Unit 3 and Russ-You guys are playing around in my back yard! I demo'd that 946 briefly one fall, but I was too cheap to buy it. When I was ready to trade it cost me a whole lot more. That was a nice tractor. That 4 dub woulda been nice property, too.

Wish I could tell you. Guessing around 94-97? We had front fenders made for it. We had to drill 2 holes on each side in the lower hinge mounts of the door. She had 4 remotes, 3pt, and PTO. I took off the plastic AC sign on the grill. It has been sitting on my office desk every since that time. It didn't even have 2000 hrs on it.

The 946 we got belonged to a husband and wife farming team. Pat and Ray I think were their names. They had 2 of everything. 2 - 946, 2 Gleaners. Salesman joked that they even had 2 vacuum cleaners.

Mehlish was the last name. I probably spelled their name wrong. They were great folks. I am pretty sure he has passed, but I don't know how she is doing. I ended up with a tractor from one of the next 4wd sets, a 9480 Versatile. My father has half of one of their lawnmower sets-a 1920 Agco Allis and it has a number 2 on the back of the seat yet. My 1920 didn't come from them. It probably would have been even better if it had! Any equipment they traded in was well cared for. Did you deal with Bryce? He was selling at that time.

I know wrong color, but my dad sold his JD 730 diesel and didn't tell me about it till it was gone. Found out later my nephew offered 1000 bucks more for it a year earlier then what my dad sold it for. I still don't understand that one.
I would love to know where my dad's 190 XT ended up but he sold it when he got out of farming and I was too young.
There is a U that I know of and still would love to have but I didn't offer the guy anything for it for me that I would actually bring it home and have to explain it to the wife. Hopefully the barn it's in will not fall over this winter and I will go over there in spring and get it out before it's too late.

Dixie thinks that I should start letting some of my tractors get away. Out of the yard where she has to see them when she looks out the window anyway.

My uncle Hubert had a D17 III and a WD he bought new from my Grandads dealership. They got away before I was able to buy them. I know where the D17 is but the guy will never sell it, so he says. It was a nice one - always shedded & well maintained and low houred. Also let my first car, a 1973 Dodge Challenger get away like a dumbaas.

Just hurts reading it. Mine would be a 1943 A John Deere. I never let go any Allis cept a WD. Though the WD was super nice and solid as they come.

Parents had the last AC they owned stolen a few years ago by a man who thought he didn't get paid enough. 1956 WD 45 WFE. I asked where he was doing time. Mom said they never turned it in to the police. They probally got to figuring and agreed with him.
I would like to track it down for a couple reasons.

![]() ![]() Dad's Two-Ten is the main one that I would like to find out where it ended up. It's been missing for thirty years now. I wouldn't mind know what happen to Dad's XT also, although I think that one got parted out.

A 47 WC that was parked out behind a flea market. Found the owner and figured if it sat out back there awhile he'd come down in price. Now the darn things parked in front of the flea market as a lawn ornament, and painted floresent orange to add insult to my injury.

Late 40's B with adjustable front end, cultivators and sherman Step up or Step down transmission. Could have bought it twice at 2 different auctions, wonder where it is today. Also an IB for 1200 bucks at one of the same auctions. Can't have everything I guess.

My Dad's SIV D-17 diesel with factory three pt. It was the first tractor I ever busted sod with and I was hooked. Everytime I see one of his buddies from back in the day I ask them if they knew who he sold the tractor to. I would love to get it back. My biggest regret was not asking my dad who he sold it to before he died.
