$3500 is the most I've ever seen one go for, if it jumps out of gear, has poor sheet metal or poor tires and you get down to the $1000 area pretty quick for a decent running one.
 
I had one for a loader / mower tractor, 7' mower would use most of a tank in 8 hours. The series IV D17 would mow more with a 6' mower on less gas. After having a couple 190XT diesels it was a terrible fuel hog by comparison, and it was never used for tillage or hauling wagons (or much mowing) for that reason. I traded it pretty quickly for a 200.

I'm sure it has plenty of power, but if you were to work it much you'd better have an oil well in your back yard to feed it. Bet it would make a great tractor pull tractor.

Would need more info such as hours, sheet metal condition, running condition, tire condition, any weights or cab, 3 point or snap coupler, does transmission stay in gear etc. I've seen parts machines sell in the low teens and low hour clean machines go for $6000. Our 190 (not XT) wasn't a guzzler.

I think it would be neat to put a 5.9 Cummins in  a 190XT gas tractor.

It don't look to bad but its hard to tell till you drive it. I gave $3200 for mine and then put alot more into it. But thats because I bought it 4 states away on ebay and didn't drive it before I bought it. As far as fuel consumtion im vary happy with mine. Its a chore tractot and hayfeild tractor. The most fuel I've put through it is 3 gallons an hour pulling a double 7 mower the old farmall M will burn 5 an hour pullin a double 7. If you work it hard im sure it would eat fuel. I never ask for more than 40 Hp so it never askes for more fuel than 40 Hp.
