Hey guys I was cleaning up some photos on the computer and found these. These are some tractors we have that are original paint and low hours. I am one of the collectors along with my dad that just love very clean well cared for tractors. I just wanted to share. It would be great if everyone would post a picture of some tractors in there original work cloths!! Happy holidays!

Gotta say, You can't replicate the look from the time they left the factory until now! I always love to see original tractors stay original. Hate to see the patina of a great barn find, only to have the new owner think they gotta strip down the paint, tear into the engine, and put an auto class paint job on it. I hate it! I mean yes, they look nice, and I totally understand if the tractor didn't have original paint on, but I just don't understand why some people don't want to keep them original.

I used to own my late grandfather 1964 Series III D17 with original paint and now I own a 1973 170 with original paint although the loader has been repainted. Original paint tractors are nice.

Excellent originals are my favorite by far. You can only original once!! I have a WC, WD-45, D-12 series I, D-15 II, and a D-17 IVd that will never be restored.

Hey Andrew,
I particularly like the WD-45 and round baler.
That is the color I remember them being as original
when I was a teenager back in the 50s!!
Love the picture.
Thanks.

That is my brother Davids 190xt. It is a sweet machine!! He repainted the wheels and front weights. It was a very well taken care of tractor. It really runs and starts well also you can tell it has very few hours on it. Great photos everyone!! Keep them coming!!

![]() ![]() Andrew, I like the good originals better, also. They are getting fewer and fewer. I bought the D19 from Luke R. You have seen both of these, but I thought I would post them. Dallas |

A nice, well kept original is hard to beat. There is nothing wrong with restoring one either though, it's all up to the owners personal preference. Some of the ones in those pics are so nice there is no point in repainting them.

Being in the 'Work Clothes' never bothered me, they were meant to work and die a slow death being looked at as a collector's piece.

Here's a pic of my D14 before I repainted her. I liked the original except the front wheels were unrepairable when we got her so I had to paint the new ones. The front around the radiator was already primed from whoever had it before me. The rest looked pretty good for original, but since so much new paint had to put down on her, I figured I'd do it all or it would look pretty weird.
