Looking at the grill you can see they just took two c/b grills and welded them together. Also the holes in the hood to check the oil and rear battery are suppose to have c/b tool box covers covering them. Very unique machine and was very fun to drive it this summer, drove it about 5 miles since the mile counter works on the speedo. Maybe i will try it in the snow

That is one neat machine. If you do play with it in the snow, please post some pics if possible. Thanks and God Bless.

These things are not as rare as one thought? I remember reading an article in "Farm Collector 2008" about one that was restored and I think it said that was the last known one to exist... Happy to see there are more out there.

They only made about 290 of them, didn't they?
That is really not all that many......... If you hear about 2 dozen, it seems like a lot, but that's not a real good survival rate.

I know of 4 in Nebraska. A friend of mine has one that the national guard brought out in the winter of 48 it spun a track so they just left it in the field it had spun the track in. I have seen in person/seen pictures of at least 15 units. They are around but alot of them got scrapped. This one was widened to be able to carry more people in the mountains of colorado. If they were not used or converted for more use they were usually scrapped. ITs a neat machine.

We are unsure, it is the only one like it we have seen, we know of serial #120 which was only like 15 miles away from us, and it did not have a top like this. The cab seems very well built and attached, that it seems factory. Everything fits together perfect and is not cobbled on there. It could be an aftermarket thing too, i don't know, but it is interesting non the less. We need to repair the tracks and do some other work to it, and do a full restoration on it. My dad painted it many years ago, and we have had it out and driven it around, and taken it to a few shows many years ago but the tracks have since fallen apart.
