Wow the size of a person that gets into the fuel tank is limited by the hatch.

I'd have to strip down to my birthday suit, shave all the hair off my body and grease up to get in there!

I am still confident of this;
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Ps 27 |

I saw my first 747 in December of 1969 when one flew into the Athens, Greece airport. A few of us drove down from our base because we had heard it was coming in that day. It was amazing, sleek, huge and it made me proud that it was made in the USA. One of the guys with me that day had worked for Boeing right out of high school, so he had seen them before but not all in one piece. I finally got to ride in one in September, 2019, flying to Europe, 49 years after I left. I got lucky to have gone just before covid started and British Air quit flying them. A very impressive aircraft. Next on my bucket list is to fly in a 787.

Reminded me of access into one of the Valve Pit vaults at the Nuke, 24" hatch Manway, I am a BIG Feller, at that time 285+#, I am svelt at 260 currently, where had to do as he had, start down the Ladder, kind of fold myself into the hole, both my arms over head until got one shoulder in then worked the other in. Had four other guys SMALLER than I watched me do this, one threw up, one got sweats, two others were OK with it until actually got inside the Vault!!! ALL Four were panicked of having to enter it! Claustrophobia can affect anybody.
