How much does a d17 back away? Looking at buying one about 3 hours away and need to know if my trailer is heavy enough. Thank you

Unsure of the question you are asking. The whole tractor (without ballast or loader) weighs about 4600 lbs. Do you want the weight of the hoe? or it plus the tractor and loader? HTH...

Sorry. Yes, meant weight of tractor with backhoe attached. If it makes a difference, it is a gas tractor not diesel.

Pretty small picture, but are you sure it's not a D-15 ?? Weight won't be much less regardless.

Did they make a d15 series 2 with backhoe? In some of the pics on his post you can see a dry air cleaner and belt power steering pump. Looks like my d17 series 3.

YES. D-17 it is. I didn't know they made a D-17 like that and yes, they did make D-15's in that configuration.

According to my brochures, the tractor weighs 5300 pounds and the loader and backhoe together weigh 4372 pounds.

I bought a new towable back-hoe, it's rather small but a lot less than a worn-out one on a worn out tractor. It is rather small but it does what I need. If I remember right it has a 13" bucket and digs 4ft deep.
