Yep, The 3pt on a D15 is the biggest piece of crap the Allis engineers designed. Had it been designed like the D17 IV, It would have bee a great unit. The Best thing to do with a 3pt equipped D15 is to convert it to Snap-Coupler and then use a factory adapter. 
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
