As far as the main fieldwork tractors would be the Agco's- 205b and DT200, AC 8070, JD 4450. The tractor that has the most hours put on every year is the NH TL100 FWA with a loader for all around jobs such as hay and daily chores with the livestock. Also have an AC 180 that gets light duty jobs.

I have big tractor envy but don't have the shed space for one nor can I justify anything larger so this is it for now.

In all honesty for the size of equipment we have on our small old fashioned operation I use my D15 for more things than anything. It is just the handiest little rig, now we put an A-C two way hydraulic valve on it so it will probably get used more! Of course all of the others find their place and we would be lost without the 170 and loader, the 185 is a very handy tractor as well.

For heavy field work, the 7580 is my choice. For cutting and baling hay I like the Kubota M110. For odds and ends a Ferguson 40 (not MF) and once I get 3d gear fixed a D14. For cultivating a G. For digging and loading, a Ford 555 B tlb and a JCB 185 robot skid steer

190XT is what I use most. Nimble, powerful, comfortable, super easy on fuel and super easy to drive. It's the only tractor my wife is willing to drive.

Our 45 with a kelly loader gets used way more than anything but for the hay operation it was the 45 with 262 gas motor. This year we borrowed my uncles 175 wich was much better and when I get the XT ready it will be the main field tractor. Like Lonn said real comfotable. Iam a little worried about the handclutch being jerky an knocking everybody down on the wagon though.

You get good at feathering it. I did, my wife did and you will too. Although my Dad seems to about throw me off the wagon from time to time. I think the gate type like the 200 has might work even better as it can be hard to push the lever down on the XT. I always was going to try to modify the XT at some point to make it easier to push the lever down. Maybe a lighter spring? Never had one apart in that area.

A 7000 and a 190XT do the heavy work here. AD17 with a New Idea loader gets a lot of use in the summer and winter.

Since my farming has been downsized to hobby status with 250 acres of crop, the JD 4250 (cab and heat) is the plowing and snowblowing tractor, D-21 II with duals does 400 ac of cultivating each year pulling an A-C 1300 24.5'. A 220 is getting ready to pull the fall deep tillage tool. D-15 II brush cutting, D-12 III finishing mower, WD-45 80R all to keep up road ditches, D-17d IV wood splitter/ 30' roller. A-C 715B TLB stone picking etc. H-3 blade misc jobs. Too many A-C's and not enough jobs.

what is the main trtactor? depends on the time of year. Spring time plowing, discing and cultivating the 4520, 190XT on the planter. summer 190XT Diesel, 190 gas, 200 and D17 for haying. Fall harvest WD on LPgas with mounted 33 picker for ear corn and K combine for grain. Winter 170 with loader for feeding round bales and getting wood out of the woods to burn and the WD45 for pushing snow.

D15 Series II for dragging stuff around and brush-hogging. B (my son's) runs a finish mower and mows between 7-15 acres. But hoestly its my Borg-warner rough-terrain forklift that get's used the most, and it's in the worst shape.

I only have one a 54 WD45. In the winter I use it to plow snow. In July I use it for baling straw with a 302 baler and cutting down the weeds later with an 80R mower on my son-in-laws land and his buddies land. Does a quick job disking the small garden too, 2 passes and done, lol. John
