Are there any tips or tricks to disconnecting the rear hyrdraulic hoses from from an Allis-Chalmers 175?  The remote set appears to be the older poineer style, but they do not have collars around the female ends to slide back while disconnecting the hose.  I also don't see a lever or button to turn the oil off.  (The implement is an Enorossi sickle bar mower.)  Any help greatly appreciated.

My 185 you just grab the hose behind the female coupler and pull it forward (towards you if standing behind) to release it

Post a pic of what you have, things get switched and replaced over the years

The OEM style coupler has to have the sliding sleeve on the female 1/2 or they won't hold onto the male. 
  After 50 years you may have some of MANY brands, styles and types of coupler, pictures would be helpful. 
  I was around heavy construction equip many years, 1 employer stocked couplers from 4 manufacturers that varied greatly in design.

The first step is take the weight off the ram holding the load up. Set cutter bar on the ground in this case. On some tools you can lock them in transport position with a pin or latch. Then shut tractor off and move the hydraulic control leaver back and forth several time to equalize the pressure before disconnecting couplers on open center stuff. To poor to have any closed center tractors, so my trick may not help there. Not having a load against the ball in coupling make hocking them up easier too.

Throw the lever clear forward into FLOAT and leave it there to disconnect hoses.
