While I am in the midst of adding a loader to my D17 I decided to pull off the rear lift arm housing and replace the hydraulic line and a leaking O-ring. Even being as careful as I could I still managed to tear the gasket at the bottom. So where is a good source for a new one before I button this mess up? Or is silicone (or something else) a better choice for this?

Does anyone have any experience using silicone in lieu of the gasket? Or is there enough stress and strain it needs a gasket?

Oil resistant RTV will work. Just have everything brake kleened and dry before assembly.

Yeah, the parts store loves to see me come in to buy brake cleaner. To paraphrase the hot sauce commercial "I use that **** on everything!"
