Ever since the first time the future wife and I went to visit her grandparents in the far northeast of PA, I noticed a wide front WD sitting in a yard near her one grandmothers house.....well this past weekend I got a chance to check it out briefly, talk to the woman that lived there if it was for sale, which she very quickly replied it was and that her husband would call me, but if I didnt hear from him by wednesday to call him because he forgets to call people back.....I didnt want to snoop too much so I didnt get a serial number or anything but I did see its a 3 bolt wide front, looks original, no engine in it, hood, tank or grill on it but Id imagine he has them, has what looks to be an original rock clutch(can someone post a picture so I can make sure), perfect back rims, decent rear tires, wheel weights....not sure what they were but they fit nice...they were smaller in diameter than my F&H weights, and are 4 or 5 inches thick....wasnt very rusty, and seemed to be mostly there....snap coupler was all there with a snap coupler drawbar hitch.....what do you guys think its worth? When I first saw it I just wanted the rear fenders and some parts, but now seeing its pretty much there I'd hate to part it out......

..... yeah.... he forget's to call back... ...right!!!

That guy don't want to sale it, I bet once you talk to him the price is quite dear.

Of course, he will tell his wife, "No, that guy decided he didn't want it after all...."

If you get it, be sure to let us know!!!   :>)

Depends on if he has a fully overhaulded engine sitting in another shed he just finished or if he has no engine, with just what you described i'd agree with Matt MN  around $500, you can figure a new set of fenders will set you back 250 plus, wheel weights usually go for around a dollar a pound so that right there alone is almost 500 probably

That is a story worth remembering. It is not often that a guy is as willing to part with a junk tractor as his wife is. At least that's how a bunch of the guys on here are...

My hat is off to you, I admire your perseverance.  Like you said "it never hurts to try".

Only parts I know I need right now is Id like to find a nice grill shell for the WD45 Im currently painting as mine was chopped up to put an alternator on, and I need a running engine for this one Im buying....If anyone has an engine thats reasonably priced let me know....I just want to make this tractor work and run for now....even thought about building up a 226 for my WC puller and putting the 201 out of it in this WD to make it run....not real sure of what Im going to do yet though.
