Cleaning out dads machine shed

Started the actual cleaning out this morning. About 9:00 the man showed up with a dumpster. It was about 1/2 the size I wanted. But it was the only one I could find. Shed is full of junk. Mom and dad were children of the depression. So they saved lots of stuff. Amish crew is coming later in the week to tear it down and move it. Lots of wood been in there 30+ years, rotting in place. No the roof don't leak. A lot of this stuff was dumped by others. Older sister and I got it about half done, stopped at 1:00 this afternoon, she was afraid I'd have a heat stroke and I was afraid she would. After all she's 4 years older than me. We decided to burn all the wood that doesn't have nails or some other sort of metal attached. If we do that we should have plenty of room in this small dumpster. I think the guy said it was a 20 yard box. Grand son said he'd help tomorrow as older sister has to head back to St Paul tomorrow. If we can get started by 8:00 am we should be able to get it done tomorrow. Guy showed up with the cat to build the new crick crossing too. That will be a huge improvement,   

Be careful today is sposed to be hotter. Woke up to 74 degrees and the windows are fogged over

Dad and mom's barn was like that. Lots of old scrap wood and everything under the sun was in there. Must have been 50 five gallon plastic buckets too. I made a burn pile, keep pile and scrap metal pile. The burn pile was over my head by the time I torched it. Took all week.

I know the feeling. My mother in law sold her house and she was a pack rat at minimum. We filled a 20 yard dumpster several times...
