I've been scraping / sweeping snow off our pond for some skating/hockey. Anyone else doing the same?

-1 sounds like a heat wave. Up here the high was -13 midday, the low tonight says -30 not counting the wind chill.

Ice thickness? I haven’t cut a hole to measure it yet. From observing the ice’s stress cracks, it looks to be 7-8”plus.
Last 10 day’s temps have been way below freezing with averages of 15.9F highs & 5.2F lows. Prior 10 days to this period averaged 34.4F highs & 21.5F lows.

Nah, sounds to me like you just wised up. I remember once taking the snowmobile out in this cold with heavy cross wind and quite literally took my breath away. Haven't rode it much since then.

Read an article this morning about ice skating on Lake Superior, which does not happen very often.

You be real careful how much brew you consume when relaxing in the hot tube. When hot tubes where the new popular thing out here lots old guys where dropping dead in them all over the place. The body would relax so much the heart would just forget to beat. Maybe not a bad way to go but LOL .............. I think you got a shenanigan or a dozen to pull on the stockholders before you go yet.LOL

My dad rented cow pasture from a guy that went that way. Sold 40 acre on the north edge of LA bought 3000 to 4000 acres and became a big time farmer. The developer stopped making payments as traffic jams made people stop paying on new houses and move back to more in town. The freeway was built and the money started coming again. He had another hired man and sat in his hot tube with highballs all afternoon every day one summer. Just feel asleep never woke up.

Sorry, but that Allis was made in Korea. None of my real Allis tractors have a 3 point hitch.
