   I have a 200 that will not start at 70 degrees without either or heating element, it’s got 8000 hrs on it and I have set timing @ 26 degrees. I cannot find any m&w pistons anymore and was wondering if anybody has found a way to up the compression?

	First off, a 200 isn't normally timed quite that fast. I thought they were down around 18 degrees ?? But maybe that was after an update to the advance? 8000 hrs isn't helping you one bit. An overhaul kit from a 180-185-190-190XT is higher compression than a 200 was, and that's the kit to use. New valves and seats with the valve protrusion as high as can be is next. Get the injection pump advance re-worked to the slower timing. Injectors set to 3000 psi makes them start better. Gear reduction starter for more cranking speed. Double up battery cables...one from each battery to the starter. Edited by DrAllis - 09 Feb 2021 at 9:08am

	Timing is 24 or 18 need pump number There are piston kits that are 16.3:1 I move that valves .010 closes to the pistons makes it start better

	Compression ratio on a 200 tractor from the factory was 15 to 1. The 180-185-190-190XT's kits are 16 to 1 compression. That in itself makes a huge difference in cold starting. If your injection pump tag says DBGFC637-3JN OR 11GR the timing should be 24 degrees BTDC. If your inj pump tag says DBGFC637- 7JN OR 10JN your timing is 18 degrees BTDC and it will start much better than the older 24 degree pumps. Lowering injector popping pressure helps as well.
