I have an ARK 600 front end loader for the Powermax series of tractor. I was wondering what everyone here thought they were worth these days. I know what I paid years ago, and I've never really seen them go down in value..

It does need a couple hoses, etc, but it functioned when I bought it. It's not the prettiest thing in the world as far as cosmetics, but would make a great candidate for a restoration. I do have a new hose or two for it that I never installed. I also have the subframe and pump for it.

Thoughts?

I can get some pictures in the next few days..

I guess someone, a collector maybe that may be interested will be willing to pay a $1,000 if it’s in workable condition.

I'd think it would be easily worth a thousand. There's not any others up for sale that I can find. They don't pop up that often either.

I don't know of any other similar sized loaders for any other tractor models that would sell for a thousand.

Thanks for the thoughts. I appreciate it.

You can always put a higher price on it to see if you get someone interested. Without seeing a picture of the condition I may be on the low side. Just going by your description of condition.

Sorry guys, no pics just yet. I was just looking for a roundabout value I guess.

I had bigger fish to fry today. My furnace quit. So I was diagnosing that and calling all over for parts. Finally got what I needed locally, but at a 1100% markup of what another one (same exact brand) cost me on Ebay later on.. (figured I might as well have another on hand and save $110 while I'm at it, for when it quits again)

The powermax loaders are really not all that uncommon.  The 600 tends to fetch the least $$, as it was the weaker design of the offerings.  The 700 was beefed up, and the Danco's were designed with a much nicer mounting system.  The Danco SV41 even allowed mower deck or mid mount sickle use, and tends to be the most desirable and hardest to find.

Anyone looking for a loader and inspecting a 600 should look hard for cracks and weld repairs, as they are almost a garauntee.  I still think $1500 would be easy to get for a nice condition, ready to work 600.
