It's an early D-17 that needs some TLC for sure but if it runs good, price is not out of line, rear tires don't look too bad.

Thanks for the replies.
I (my Wife actually) inherited two tractors, a WD and a WD-45, both with stuck engines. I drove the WD quite a bit some years ago, but when I got my own compact tractor I never needed to borrow it anymore, so it sat and got stuck. I tried all of the various snake oil remedies and hung 100# of weight on the crank handle all last summer, but to no avail. Either tractor will require $2000+ at minimum to overhaul, and that is with me doing the work. Just weighing my options as a running tractor for $2000 may be a better plan. Thanks again

Believe it is a D15 or D14. The dish in the rear rims is wrong for a 17. Also one of the pictures from the rear shows a curve/ bent gear shift.

Not a D17, for sure. I’m leaning towards a D14, if the monocolor paint is original.

It is a D14 and not a 3pt hitch. Wheels looks like it spent a life time in a cattle lot. MACK

Wow, you guys are good! :-)
So is a D-14 sorta like an enhanced CA? I own a C, and am familiar with the CA, but is the D-14 as good as a tired WD?

Well, when the D14 came out dad bought the first one with 3 bottom plow and cultivator, traded in a C with an Oliver 2 bottom plow and a 2 row Cultivator, a rope controlled tumblebug, some old harness and other things I've forgotten as I've slept since. The WD will outwork the D14, but if you add a light spring to throttle rod and adjust the WD will keep up, ground speed wise, when plowing the same field, and the WD will pull better.

The D10/D12 are enhanced CAs. The D14/D15 are more in the category of a WD (but not as powerful as a WD45).
