At one time I had a wiring diagram for an Allis chalmers B with a one wire alternator and a key start ignition and magneto. Somehow I have lost it but I remembered ( or thought I did) that I had gotten it from a member of this forum. If anyone has a wiring diagram for this setup I would appreciate it if you could post it so I can copy it and get my system straightened out. I need all the help I can get when it comes to electricity. Thanks,
Billy Ray

well, something like this... You have a separate STOP switch for the mag, not part of the key ?

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

No, actually the key cuts off the magneto and shuts down the engine.

use a key switch from an older lawn mower / garden tractor that had magneto ignition.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

if you have the key already, thats great... If not, you need a key switch that has TWO TERMINALS connected when in the OFF position... those two terminals go to the mag and GROUND... You dont use the ON position, ( unless you have headlights ) just the START position for the starter motor.

here is a Briggs lawn mower switch.. at the bottom left of the page it says terminals 1 + 3 are connected when OFF... So those would be the 3=MAG and 1=GROUND... It says 4 + 5 are connected in START, but 4 is not connected when you go back to the RUN position... so 5= POWER (12 v) and 4= Solenoid wire .
