Man the search feature on this forum sucks.....

Wasn't too long ago, there was a topic about electric over hydraulic controls on a chopper.

You have to run the hydraulics engaged all the time, then a solenoid valve bank actuates various hydraulic circuits. Seems it was mentioned that it's not a good idea long term to bungee cord the lever back, and that there was an adjustment to prevent it from kicking out of the detent position.

Can someone help explain that please?

Remove the small rubber plug at the back of the valve. Insert correct size allen wrench with valve in the hold position. Hopefully the screw isn't rusted solid. Tighten down until the lever won't kick out anymore. Failure to do this creates a 2 to 3 GPM oil leak which heats the hydraulic oil hotter than it should be.

Thank you doc.....So, one person standing behind the tractor adjusting screw, one sitting in the seat putting the lever in hold? At least that sounds the easiest?

Oh. So, sort of an adjust, test, repeat scenario. So, can you "Over do" it?

I hope the screw will turn for you. After 40+ years of not being adjusted, who knows??

Yeah, I hope so too. Who knows.

So, adjust, test repeat, that's the right track? Be a few hours before I attempt, perhaps even tomorrow morning. But thank you for your help, as always, Dr.

I'd give it a 1/2 turn to begin with. Start the engine and pull the lever into raise. If it stays locked, you are probably good to go. 1/4 turn at a time after that.

Awesome. Thanks again. I know it's a simple thing, just never been there before.

Once I figured out how small the little screw was, worked like a charm. First adjustment was all it needed. Thanks so much!

Guessing I should adjust it back if I want kick out for other things.

Now I just have to figure out why it won’t swing over to the wide position. Everything else worked perfect.
