Wife of 64 years Janet has a bit of dementia went out for a walk sunday fell I wasn't close to catch her broke her hip had emg surgery monday went ok but due to stress of surgery and undiagnosed artery restriction her kidneys shut down now nothing we can do just a matter of time

Even though Janet had to fight RA most of her life she still managed to be the best cook, homemaker and accountant possible she has always been much more than I deserved
They call this comfort
care there is no comfort about it I was never pro euthanasia but I'm not so sure now

pryers.
She wants to go but her body just won't quit I am just praying for the good lord to end her suffering.

Hey Gordy,,,,,,I feel your pain, I really do,,!! My wife of 52 years is suffering similar to yours due to her kidney function almost gone. She is suppossed to go to Dialysis 3 times a week for 4 hours and she now "misses" one day a week. I used to get mad at her and would wind up getting into arguments but it IS her life and I have to be able to respect her wishes when she chooses her path. We just got to be supportive and try to understand,,as one day we will possibly be making those same choices for ourselves.
