Sorry no I havent. Me and my wife had our first child and the little fart is taking up alot of time. Plus I've been working on a new project tractor for our farm. 8050 4wd with 7000 front metal ad a Gleaner N7 516ci engine. Almost got her together for this years hay crop. She will strictly be the chopper tractor.
But dont worry I havent forgot about the old 426 d17 puller. She is just kinda on a back burner. I still plan on getting her built. |

Peterson, Blessings on your new family. I enjoyed viewing your 516 8050 tractor project photos on facebook - Awesome! The 516 sounds great! Great job fitting the 7040 hood/grill to it. Whats it's new wide float rear tire size? Was fitting them to it's rear wheel centers any challenge?

Thanks guys, I for sure spend as much time as I can with her. Yesterday we went to the local allis dealer for some parts then around town for other little things. Mom was at work so we got to spend most of the day together. Was lots of fun, cant wait till she's big enough to ride with me in the tractor.
For the rears, it had 18.4r38 power adjust rims originally. I went to Heitman's and got the double bevel wedges to use a set of widened double bevel rims. Went with 25" wide 38" rims with 710/70r38s. Tread width is about 27". They are as tall as a 20.8r42. I mounted the rims and tires by myself. Skid steer, one 24" tire spoon and some cow breeding lube. They actually went on easier than I thought they would. Only problem I had was seating them, not the best idea but had to use ether. |

Ether works good to seat semi tire beads too.
Did you install the 516’s p-pump or is that standard equipment on a Gleaner N7? |
