Today, I apart the outside rear gang on a 2300 today that has a center width of 9 feet 6 inches and a fold up set of gangs front and back on both sides. The shaft is hexigon. Both bearings were in flanges. BUT, the bearings were different. Both had a convex outter race, but the outter race on one was widder than the other. I tried a W208PPB16. It fit the shaft, but the outer race was too narrow and left far too much play in th flange. I tried a W208PP8-IMP. It has flat outter race and would not fit the shaft. I have two of these disc. One has the cast hangers for the gang, and the other has the steel āLā shaped hanger. Both seemed to have a rubber gasket or some matterial between the bearing and the flange to keep dirt out.
Any help with finding the right bearning or the right sealed flange/bearing combination would really be appreciated. Neither old bearing had a nubmer on it. |
