The transmission on my HD 5G locked up and I am needing the reverse idler gear needle bearings and also the bearings for the input shaft. Where could I find them? What are their part numbers?
Thank you
I forgot to mention that my crawler has the older single speed reverse transmission.

One of our local suppliers has a well thumbed paper copy of an (IIRC) "IBR Bearing Replacement catalogue".

If you have the manufacturer's bearing part numbers it gives you the original bearing manufacturer and their part number(s).

For instance it went from the Allis part numbers for needle bearings in the steering box of an AC 45 grader to the Torrington numbers - which were bearings still available.

So if someone has access to one of those - - - .

Even better is the parts book for our FA 10 dozer has a table at the back which does the same thing for its Fiat bearing part numbers - though that  isn't going to help your enquiry

new are available. I put them in a trans last year. get part numbers and search for on the internet, look hard and you can find less expensive but good bearings, sometimes new old stock. I will see if I can find my notes.

AC used stock bearings and can be sized using dementions from bearing house .
Well all except front idler bearings , cups are standard cone is hard to find . rear Link belt outboard axle bearings are also a hard to find bearing and kind of AC only
this is HD5 and HD6 - unsure on larger machines
