A friend of ours was going through some of his Dad's stuff and found this box with a rain gauge in it. They were nice enough to give it to my wife. The dad had been a customer of my Dad over 40 years ago.
Wish I were smart enough to know how to get the picture turned the right direction. Pffft!

Here's a pic with the box it came in and the "instructions" for how to use it. If you don't know how to use a rain gauge, you shouldn't have one!

Brian looks like you got it to work. I was gonna flip your picture for a tease but I'll tell my BIG SECRET. Win10 - I open Snip and Sketch, outline what I want, save as .jpg to a file, close Snip & Sketch, then open the file with photos, use the rotation button at top of page, and save. Snip & Sketch and Photos also have other editing capabilities. Hope this helps, pretty basic.

That is one of the good surprises to have someone fix you up with a artifact  of family history.
The company that promoted that rain gauge must have done alright. That little dial thingy was the deciding factor that I have seen that same brand rain gauge before. I have no idea what product the one I saw was promoting.  Now you got me wondering if it's still around somewhere.
