I have an HD6G and have fixed a bad clutch oil circulation pump. Now I want to test it.
But where to add the oil? Are the clutch housing and the aluminum sump tank connected? What cheap oil can I use in there until I confirm that I don’t have any leaks? What final oil do people use? Is the oil filtered on the return line? The line that connects under the filter?

All I see on the Aluminum tank is a dipstick and the pickup on the operators left side. Is it on the right side of that tank?
Do you happen to know how much fluid it takes? I have not gotten a service manual yet. Thanks for your help. |

Gemdozer,
Can you tell me what "10 sea oil" is? I searched the Web and found Seaoil the company, but i don't see a product from them with the number 10. Is 10 the weight? |

Okay, so do not use SAE 10 oil, just ATF oil. Right?
Will hydraulic oil work in a pinch, or only ATF? Leo |
