Does anyone know if the gasket that goes between the manifold and the side cover with the side exit exhaust pipe is still available or if there ever was a gasket there. Agco parts book doesn't show one.

it is steel on steel, if you have a leak (I did) you can have it "faced" on a mill or flywheel grinder so you have two good flat edges
