Hi every one I have been a regular reeder for about 4 years (ever sence I got my 55 WD45 going) and this past winter I rebuilt the engine on a non running 72 190XT III now I am having problems with the trans/power director when the tractor is cold I can start in 5,6,7,8th gear and it will strongly move then after about 10 mins of driving around the yard(no load about 1/3 throttle) it becomes "jumpy" and by about 15 mins wont move at all inless I put it in 4,3,2,1st gears origanly it didn't have steering intel I bled the air and cleaned the hydr splitting valve (big nut on back of hydr pump) new filters and fluids all around any ideas? thanks

How much "free-play" is there in the foot clutch pedal ?? Should be 4 inches or more.

if it was trapped air how would I go about bleeding it effectively, that would make sense to me from sitting for 3 years with lines disconnected and a new fluid flush

You aren't giving a good answer on the foot clutch. It sounds like to me you have zero freeplay and that ain't correct. There must be a MINIMUM of 2 inches freeplay and upwards of 4 inches is fine. ZERO freeplay could mean the foot clutch is slipping all because the adjustment under the hood is in need of correcting.
