You can see in my other thread changing my gasser to diesel. As i mentioned in there I'm going to be installing the Koyker loader i got from my Cousin on it. My question is the koyker bolts to the front of the tractor and to the frame rails with several bolts and one through the bell housing into the frame rail. Ive been told that D series and 100 series should have the loader also bolted back to the rear end. My D17 with Allis loader is like that. Should i try and make something to tie it into the rear axle housing ? Heres a pic of the brackets.

That is exactly like mine, and it does not have brackets going to the rear axle, You can go to their site and down load the manual if you can see the model number.  Mine is on a 185 and has the bracket on the front and the brackets on the back of the motor frame.  If your is like mine it comes with a bracket that hooks into the loader frame allowing you to unbolt and back out of the loader when you don't want it on the tractor. Sort of an early version of quick disconect.

It is a good idea to make it go to the rear axle on the 100 series...can't tell you how many torque tubes we sold to customers that had qick tach loaders...

To each to their own but the way a 190 shifter is it'd be about the last tractor I'd want with
a loader on it.Going from forward to reverse constantly would get real old for me real quick.I see a 190 as a field tractor not a utility tractor.

Thanks. I'm going to try and build something to tie it into the rear. Won't be used for loader work often just occasionally. Moving round bales.

The 200 I bought had that loader on it. Do yourself a favor dont put a loader on a 200 or 190. The front end is too light. I had to do a lot of work on mine to get it back in shape.

190 and 200's are not loader tractors!--I agree with the guys, that the time you bash the gear shift around it will quickly destroy the tractor.----to each their own!----Thats why I have skid loaders-----WAY faster, get in tight places, etc.!

My XT i bought as a loader tractor. I have been real happy with the front end so far. i ran a 4020 loader tractor alot as a kid and saw many broken spindles and knees on the front end of it. Even after we upgraded it to a 4520 front axle. I have picked up some ridiculous loads with my 190 and she has not failed me yet. Your mileage may vary. Poor People have poor ways, we get by ;)
I will agree the transmission is not the best for loader work, but i have had better luck using the power director to shift to reverse quick than foot clutch.
190XT, 185, D15 SII, 7040 is living again, 7010 retired for parts.

The power director is NOT, I repeat NOT for shifting gears!  Only the foot clutch is to be used for shifting transmission gears.
